Not at all. Whether you’ve been shooting your whole life or just getting started, this event is built to be fun, welcoming, and a great way to learn.

Most shooters will be using compounds, but traditional bows are absolutely welcome.
Trad setups will be handicapped to help keep things competitive.

Yes—you’ll need to bring your own bow, arrows, and gear.
If you’re missing something, reach out. We’re happy to point you toward local shops that can get you set up.

Bring more than you think you’ll need.
Misses happen. Arrows disappear. It’s part of the deal. -
Short answer: 15–100 yards.
For longer shots, there will be a move-up option that is scored differently.

Yes—and honestly, it’s almost a must.
If you don’t have one, we strongly suggest teaming up with someone who does or getting one ahead of time. Not having one is a pretty big disadvantage.

Pay attention—some targets will have different scoring rules. That’s part of what makes this shoot unique and adds an extra level of fun.

Each shooter gets one shot per target.
However, each team gets one redo shot for the entire event (not per person).

Yes.
On shots over 65 yards, you’ll have the option to shoot from a halfway marker.
Just know—if you move up, scoring will be on a different scale. It’s all about weighing risk vs. reward. -
This is a 2-man team event.

Here’s the plan for the day:
8:30 AM – Registration opens + practice area
10:30 AM – Shotgun start
After the shoot – Lunch + head-to-head shootdown
Raffles + wrap-up
Goal: wrapped up by 3:00 PM

Dress for the outdoors and the course:
Good hiking or hunting boots (grip + ankle support recommended)
Weather-appropriate clothing
Bug spray is highly recommended
You’ll be walking varied terrain, not standing in one spot.

It’s a scored event with prizes for top teams—but we like to mix it up.
One randomly selected team will win the same prize as first place.So yeah… you don’t have to shoot lights out to walk away with something.

Each registered shooter will receive a food ticket for:
